Kenneth Starr, the federal prosecutor who gained notoriety in the Paula Jones-President Clinton trial, will be the Keynote Speaker at the Annual Gala of the Lincoln Club of Riverside County. The Gala, our Club’s premier event and fundraiser, will take place on Thursday evening, February 23, 2006 in the Music Room of the Historic Mission Inn. Mr. Starr is currently Dean and Professor of Law at the Pepperdine University School of Law. “We are very excited that Ken will be joining us this year and I know he will be a very interesting and entertaining speaker,” stated Doug Jacobs, Lincoln Club President. In addition to the Keynote segment of the program, two distinguished awards will be bestowed upon two deserving individuals. This year the “Lincoln Club Award” will be given to Club Chair Duane Roberts for all of his outstanding work on behalf of the Republican Party. We all know Duane to be extremely supportive of Republican candidates and elected officials, and this is our way of acknowledging his efforts, and to say ‘thank you’ for his incredible support of our Club throughout the years. Ken Starr will
receive the “In the Arena Award.” Ken has been a loyal Republican
and has represented the party well in his various capacities. “One of our prime missions is to provide financial support to candidates and elected officials throughout the year, and this event allows us to do so on an increasing basis,” Jacobs continued. For further information
on sponsorships, please contact Sue Rawlings, Event Chair, at (951)
342-0149. Seating is extremely limited.
