The Results are in: Lincoln Club Outreach Astounding in 2005

The Lincoln Club’s prime mission is to provide financial support to our candidates and elected officials, as well as for for voter registration. These activities are supported by membership dues and our Club’s Annual Gala.

During the calendar year 2005, the Lincoln Club max’ed out our political contributions (as governed by law) to the majority of our candidates in Western Riverside County. These contributions support their efforts to keep our region in the forefront on issues at the local, State and national levels.

And, we are also very proud of the fact that we DOUBLED our active membership in 2005! This includes new members as well as an increasing number of renewing members.

Lincoln Club Covers the County ... and then some

Our current membership represents nearly every municipality in Riverside County. This helps ensure that our Club’s outreach and “Get Out the Vote” effort covers the majority of California’s most Republican County.

To date, we have Club members in the cities of Banning, Beaumont, Corona, Hemet, Moreno Valley, Murrieta, Norco, Perris, Riverside, San Jacinto, Sun City, and Temecula. Additionally, we have members from Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, Yucaipa, as well as Orange County communities of Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills and Newport Beach.

Our Club’s Annual Gala has earned the reputation as one of the region’s most anticipated, enjoyable and quality events. And this year will be no exception with Keynote Speaker Kenneth Starr.

The event, slated for Thursday evening, February 23, 2006 in the Music Room of the Historic Mission Inn, is always a sell-out crowd and we continue to maximize the use of this beautiful venue. Table sponsorships usually sell-out as well, which unfortunately also limits the number of individual tickets that are available.

A Lincoln Club tradition is the bestowing of two very important awards to two well-deserving individuals.

This year, Club Chair Duane Roberts will receive the distinguished “Lincoln Club Award” for his unparalleled support of the Republican Party, not to mention his dedication to our Club.

The “In The Arena” award will be given to the evening’s keynote speaker Ken Starr for his outstanding work on behalf of all Republicans.

As part of their annual membership, Lincoln Club members attend this event at no-charge. Due to limited seating and the number of people who wish to attend, the board has implemented a new “a reservation made is a reservation paid” policy for both members and non-members. Any cancellation not received by noon, Tuesday, February 21 will be charged.

Social hour will begin at 6:00, followed by dinner and program at 7:00pm.

Event invitations are due to be mailed by January 17. Due to very limited seating, all members are strongly encouraged to return their RSVP cards immediately.

In Memory

In 2005, the Lincoln Club bid farewell to three very special members, Harley Knox, Mark Williams and Mike Harding.

Harley, Mark and Mike were all well-respected individuals, both professionally and personally and each left a legacy in their own respective circles as well as in the community-at-large.

They will be missed.
