About The Lincoln Club
Our Club was founded in 1988 when a distinguished group of local Republicans determined that it was important to provide financial support to Republican candidates and elected officials.   Those founding members were Congressman Ken Calvert, who remains our Founding Chair and Duane Roberts (“Keeper of the [Mission] Inn”), Emeritus Chairman of the Board.  Others in this charter group are Bob Wolf, Kathleen Daley, Doug Jacobs, Riverside County Supervisor Marion Ashley, Hon. Dallas Holmes (Ret.), Bill Johnson, Former Senator Dave Kelley, and the late Harley Knox and Gary Rawlings.  

We have not deviated from the founders’ original mission to contribute to campaigns to ensure Republicans are elected and remain in office.   Our Club’s two primary fundraising efforts are membership dues and the Annual Gala and Awards Ceremony, held each year in February during President’s Week.   The Gala is the ‘event of the year’ and is our Club’s prime fundraiser.

In addition to supporting our legislators, our Club is also devoted to the “Get Out the Vote” effort year-in and year-out, not just in election seasons.  We work closely with the Republican Central Committee and are proud to provide much-needed financial support that this critical program requires.

Another of our Club’s prime objectives is to provide a forum for member and potential members to interface with our legislators; this is accomplished via monthly luncheons where local and State electeds are keynote speakers and have an opportunity to speak one-on-one with our guests.  This is an important component of our membership.
